What does the day of a Unit Manager look like?
At Holmes Care Group, our Unit Manager’s work very closely with our Home Managers in order to ensure delivery of the best possible care. You will create a safe and supportive environment for residents with a range of physical and mental needs, whilst also relying on your professional judgment to make critical clinical decisions.
- Partnering with the Service Manager by providing day-to-day leadership of the service.
- Provide leadership of a designated area and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
- Act as a service level champion for a culture of high performance.
- Supporting with the inspection process to ensure that the service is compliant with regard to all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Implementing, promoting and maintaining care support plans for each resident.
- Overseeing medicine management and ensuring the safe administration of medication in accordance with SSSC Code of Practice.
- Ensuring that quality standards are constantly achieved in line with the relevant regulatory and business requirements.
- Support the Service manager to complete appropriate appraisals and supervision of all staff supporting any development needs/conducting performance management as required
- Inspire, motivate and develop an engaged workforce.
- Work alongside the Service Manager to provide continuous on call cover for the service.
